Carter was a Naval Academy grad.

Look how that turned out.

Nope, nothing at all.

...except for the fact the media pandered to Obama's side every chance it got...and those softball questions.

Did an Ivy League education mean anything when GWB was president?

Look at how Dan Quayle's "potatoe" deal went compared to B.O.'s 57 states. If they spent just a little time making fun of B.O, he'd be considered as stupid as Quayle.

It meant a lot when Theodore Roosevelt was president - of course, that was a few years back.

Of course, Bush Jr. and Sr. were Ivy Leaguers.............the elder was an outstanding student. Didn't hold any water with the libs though.....until they got their own Ivy Leaguer in there. Suddenly it's important.

I'll take the West Pointer (Ike) or the Eureka College grad (Reagan) any day.

Most of the presidents of the last century smoked something - some were regular smokers and others occasional. FDR was a butt puffer - with a holder (dignified smoker). Truman smoked cigarrettes, cigars and chewed tobacco. Ike smoked cigarrettes. Kennedy smoked cigarrettes and cigars on occasion. Johnson smoked cigarrettes regularly and cigars. Nixon was a pipe smoker. Ford also used a pipe and cigars. I'm not sure about Carter. Reagan was a non-smoker. Bush senior did not smoke. Clinton used cigars (form more than just smoking - probably why Kennedy had his occasional). GW Bush smoked when he was younger and quit (yeah, probably non-tobacco items too). And Obloomers is a cigarrette smoker (and probably smoked from the whacky pipe too in his younger days (I hope his younger days!).

John McCain never smoked, but used to dip snuff regularly. I think he still does but he's old enough to hide it in his jowels.

Many of the earlier presidents were heavy cigar and pipe smokers. Ulysses S. Grant rarely was without a cigar (they say he smoked 20 a day - he died of oral cancer). William McKinley was a heavy cigar smoker. Grant, Benjamin Harrison, McKinley, Taft Harding and Coolidge were the heavy cigar smokers.

Theodore Roosevelt had asthma as a youngster and stayed away from tobacco. He became very athletic as he aged and overcame his sickly childhood with bold determination and dedication to hard work.

Many of the 19th Century presidents also chewed tobacco.

I'm an A-1 man myself.

That is, when i've over cooked a sirloin steak and need to drown the burnt flavor if it's done more than medium-rare.

Heinz, though....she pisses me off. So her family's company can bite me.

Same with the Krocs (Mickey D's) back in the day.

Same with Costco now.

Elections might happen yearly or every other year...or every four years.

But i vote each and every day with my wallet.

Cheap and/or burned steak makes an exception. Any regular steak though then absolutely not.

Like i said, only if i've over cooked it beyond medium-rare.

I've never used steak sauce when dining at a restaurant where they keep track of their steaks better than i've been known to do at home.
