Just to lay it out there, I love This American Life. It is far and away the best show on the radio. Some people may consider it a liberal platform, I think those people are intellectually dishonest for the most part, but in this episode they have not one leg to stand upon. Because, there is an interview with a Colonel (that has to be the dumbst spelling of a word in the English lang.) and a historian from the US Naval College (IIRC). As well as highlighting the inovations that the US Army is making to improve conditions for soliders and make them more likely to return home safely.

A brief warning. About half way through there is a debate between the mayor of Salt Lake City and Sean Hannity that is painful to listen to. I listened to it and thought it was valuable in highlighting how devided our country is and highlighting the "debate" style of Sean Hannity, which is to just attack the other guy personally. But, if you want to skip it, you won't miss much. At the end there is an interview with an Iraqi girl, 20 years old, that is pretty cool too.

Anyway, enjoy. http://thisamericanlife.org/
