Says she has not been told the truth still. She is not toatlly sure of teh circumstances surrounding her sons death, because she has been lied to so many times. The interviewer (DP) asks if she can count out being "hit". She says no. She has theories and wishes she could count that out. She also says she is sickened the underlings are being punished when this goes much higher up. Remind you of any other scandals? Oh yeah, all of them.

Maybe she's right. Or maybe she's wrong.

Stress and loss can do things...

She didn't say that it was true, only that she had been lied to so many times that she couldn't even rule it out. She says one of three things is true, but refused to discuss them. That is when DP asked the question and she replied she couldn't rule it out.
You do realize they lied about this to promote the war right?

Yes, I'm aware of that.

To clear this up I mean the military (she blames Rummy) not Bush.

When does she become that America-hating traitor like Cindy Sheehan?

Well, I haven't yet figured out why she hates the troops, but I am positive she does. After all, why wouldn't she support freedom (TM).

I hate to interrupt you people's fun, but Cindy Sheehan is a nut. Her own family doesn't even claim her. She's being used unmercifully bu anti war activists.
Tillman's mother is a whole different story, and to suggest that he was killed on purpose because of his political views is absurd.

I wasn't even hinting at that myself, I was quoting her. She wasn't suggesting it as much as saying that as many times as she was lied to she had no idea what to believe anymore.
I may have been joking, but I don't find it funny that our armed forces and government lied about and covered up the death of a real hero to propogandize a war. Especially when that was the last thing he would have wanted.

Also, Sheehan is very much acting on her own accord. Admittedly, she is a bit brash. However, she is not a politician and not a public speaker. She freely admits that and says that she doesn't mince words often. I don't always agree with her in the least. To say her family doesn't claim her is factually wrong, her in-laws hate her. That much is true. They also say we support President Bush and the troops, which makes it obvious where their disagreements come in.
For Tillman's mother to say what she said, it must come out of alot of frustration at our Gov'mt. They lied to her about her son's death to propagandize a war.

Well considering he was a big Chomsky fan and called the Iraq war "fucking illegal"???? However, he was before I heard this and is even moreso now a hero to this nation.

And before this gets out of hand, I agree that it is total bullshit that the gov't attempted to cover this up. And I don't view her the way I do Sheehan either.

Oh good. Lets repeat that bullshit line about Chomsky. He never said they were not there, he said that the numbers were exaggerated. Do me a favor and read up on the follow-ups to Chomskys claims. He only argued that the carpet bombing of Cambodia was responsible for many deaths too.

Except for the fact that you just said Tillman denied massacre in Cambodia. Many of us may have missed that.
