While I didn't dive deeply into the report, it does bring up an interesting question. Why no deceleration when impacting the intact portion of the tower?

There are a couple of reasons. Avalances exhibit similar behavior... and also the fact that the towers themselves are 80% open space...
I was 4 blocks away. There were no notable rumblings or booms. If they were blowing support columns, I think the explosions would have been notable.. and they would show on seismographs. Did they show seismographs of the supposed explosions?

In the end, we were able to debunk each of these assertions with hard evidence and a healthy dose of common sense.

In return the truthers started lumping the editors with the other conspiracy groups along with some weak, weak rebuttals. Popular Mechanics then put out a book rebutting the rebuttals. It was very well done. Not that it convinced any of the hardcore Alex Jones disciples.
