The only theft of the election would be on the dem side with their registration of non citizens, inelgible voters, etc.

But the dems would try to claim that if McCain wins, the voting machines had to be rigged - or some of their illegal voters were "disenfranchised." Or they would want 172 different recounts until they could guess the voter's intent to where it matched election victory for their candidate.

However, you are right in thinking that civil unrest could come no matter who wins. If McCain wins, the above reasons might make the streets a bit unsafe via rioting because the opposition thinks that polls and not votes should win elections.

Or if Barry O. wins and something happens to him in office or before office. Either way, no matter who was guilty of the offense, that could set of a string of unprecedented civil unrest - perhaps to the point this country hasn't seen since the American Civil War. So yes, the possibility of martial law is definitely in the works.

As a federal officer subject to emergency response at any time, I have to be ready and on the alert for any potential event.
