Do you hate the candidate you are not supporting? (if you have decided to support one.)

I voted no on this one...

I definitely liked McCain alot more before the election started but in general I dont mind him. His Vice President on the other hand is where my problem lies...if this asked about the VP's my answer would be completely different...but that's a different topic.

I've hated Barack Obama long before he decided to run for president.

Absolutely not.

I have tremendous respect and admiration for the man I didn't vote for.

(yes, I voted last week. Toos, mebee trees times. -- see voter fraud thread)

Neither is perfect, both are great Americans . (And, obviously, are worthy politicians -- as proven, among other things, by being nominated by their respective parties).

The real question I would ask is...Who did you vote for in the primary? You loved you some Hillary didn't you...Admit it!

Negatory. I'd admit it if I did. But nope.

I wonder what that would say about me, though, if I did.

Well if that's how it works, then I voted early and often.

Lately, not so much.

I hate everyone.

Now that's the motto of my avatar - I hate everyone. Here you are all equally worthless. Get on your knees, scumbag! Who's the slimy little communist shit, twinkle-toed cocksucker down here who just signed his own death warrant?

Actually, I don't hate political opponents. I dislike their ideas and the platform of the party they represent.

i hate both of them. i hate that this is the best we are offered.

I can't say I hate both of them, but I too am discouraged that this is the best we were offered.

The reason I voted for Obama is that I believe he will do his best to take this nation in a different direction that will be focused on the nation and not specifically on some hidden or personal agenda.

With McCain I didn't really seem to get that impression. Sure he was better than John Kerry was as the Dems nominee back in 2004 when Kerry really had no platform what-so-ever. But, McCain's platform just doesn't seem to hold nearly as much water as Obama's does with me.

I didn't see McCain as the guy who will be able to work to gain as smooth as possible exit from Iraq and repair the reputation of this nation around the world and turn some of the focus of the government to putting this country back on its feet where it needs to be.

I think, gone are the days of the maverick we knew as Senator John McCain and now are the days of the puppet of the Republican party John McCain. I believe he either abandoned some of his ideals or just put on a good show and appeared to be a puppet, which turned me off none-the-less.
