Just started now, but my link to the frontpage is www.thepartisan...

but when I click on any of the links, it goes to http://thepartisan...

and I get an error page. If I type in www. in front of the link that I opened up, then it works.

That was fast. Maybe we had a visit from Benny Hinn.

It wasn't working for quite awhile. Saw that ryr was here, so I figured I'd let him know. And when I went back to the main page, everything was peachy.

I think he's fruckin with me.

I've seen that comes and goes thing a few times and not always when he's here. I'd guess that it's a dns issue as the site is still new and has trouble resolving sometimes.

Well if it keeps up, I'm blowing this joint and taking my super duper excellent ideas and thoughts with me.

I'm trying to add something to the homepage, so it might be me.

I'm not as young as Roy or sully so I can't do it in the middle of the night.

Or it could be dns.

Don't worry, I'll always assume it's you.

You're way late. I used that as the test thread when I opened the site.

Now the exact opposite is happening. No really. Serious.

Do any of the computer nerds know of a reason this can be happening? This morning, everytime I try to open a link from the main page (except for forum navigation on the left side), I get directed to a www. link that doesn't work...have to take the www. out. I've deleted cookies, flushed DNS, and reset my bookmark to the main page without the www. to make sure that wasn't the problem, and it's still going on.

Is it just a matter that it's something with my computers (happens at home and at work), and I have to just navigate a little differently?

I'm still having problems navigating from the site index.

Yeah, right before I left home, the links were working...when I got to work (around 12:30), none of the links worked from the index...and still aren't. But it seems that shortly after I write a post about the links not working, they work. So maybe in a few minutes, the universe will right itself.

LSU

in the "links" box in the upper left, forum index and homepage also try to go to www. addresses, and they don't work for me...and the link from s-b to here tries to bring up the www. address.

Oh, and the little drop down arrows for the boxes on the main page don't work...at least not all the time. Perhaps I'm just in some purgatory main board somehow.

sometimes they do, sometimes they don't...when they don't, the address changes from

http://thepartisanpatriot.com/

to

http://thepartisanpatriot.com/#top

but nothing collapses or expands

Hell, I don't even know where that link comes from. I clicked it and it took me to the homepage.

yeah, that's what it does for me, too...when I click on an expand/collapse arrow, it basically keeps me on the homepage, but it reloads the homepage and adds the top# part..

I've deleted my bookmark and cookies and DNS flushed, and nothing does any good.

I've gotten good at navigating around the issues, so it doesn't really bother me that much, but if other people are having the problems, it might keep them from being active.

One other thing...when I first go to the homepage, my avatar appears in the user CP box, but if I refresh it goes away and is replaced with Edit Avatar link

The ones in the site navigation work now, but the links to the threads still don't. Neither do the links for the modules (who's online, etc)...they still point to a www. address.

all done and everything seems to be running soundly now...all links work everywhere...

I had forgotten to clear the cache all the other times I cleared stuff out...perhaps that was the culprit.

Just an FYI...the same things that occurred yesterday are occurring again...even after deletion of cookies, a dns flush, and clearing the cache...things seem to run smoothly if I'm not logged in, but logging in seems to cause some troubles...

nix that last part...doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not...back to only being able to navigate using the site navigation on the left...
