Just wondering...but do you think that quote is applicable right now? Your engaging of such signature would imply yes...BUT...Are we in a "wartime"???

Was there ever a time in history when there weren't terrorists?

Let's wrap baby.

It would be easier to change it right now.

I'm just saying...It seems to be applicable to some things you had called out in the other thread (ie Pelosi visit) if you "liberally" (:p ) apply it....

I changed it, but I'll rap anyway.

Yes. We are in a war against terrorists.

Here's the old sig-"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs who should be arrested, exiled or hanged." Well, that's close anyway.

Probably have been terrorists around forever, but I doubt more than now. Emboldening them to strike against our country would seem to be an offense to me. Appeasement emboldens them.

I think people underestimate the Communist tendencies of a cellular lump like Pelosi.

Is western philosophy a new concept? Why is our way of life NOW being challenged after 231 years? What about other countries that live a similar way in Europe?

Why now a time of war? And, if now is a good definition of a "time of war," when ISN'T a time of war?

We could have some fun with a "Get in the head of the enemy" thread...Why do they "hate" us? What do they want? Our annihilation? A change? Us to simply "back out" of Israel?

Appeasement works both ways...What do we want? Are we the ones looking for peace? It seems to me that we are the "national" aggressor...

Go.

If you study up on the crusades and what led to them you'd see it's not a new concept.
Israel, yes.

I understand that...but I think that 200+ years of OUR existence as Americans (US Citizens) is more relevant to our current state of affairs, don't you?

Are you trying to find a way to place the blame of terrorist actions on us?

Maybe I don't understand what you're getting to.

I don't think there is a US citizen alive today that lives the Communist manifesto...not in the way they handle their business transactions...No way...It's hardly "spread the wealth"...It's all about "Gotta get mine"...Pelosi is no different...I ain't never seen her pad/car/lifestyle...but I can probably take a fair guess...and she'll be damned if Joe blow down in the bronx is getting a piece...

So my answer to you is....So?

I'm trying to establish whether or not the presence of terrorists is a considerable means for using wartime rationale.

Furthermore, I don't place blame on victims for the actions of criminals...That's ludicrous old man, and just the insinuation by you saddens me...

What I'm getting to is...WHO is the enemy? Why? And how much of a threat are they? Enough to require our country to aggressively pursue a campaign against them???

To take it a bit further, am I, a citizen, entitled to these answers? I would venture to say yes.

76, eh? Wow... Par 72?

That begs its own good question...What age is considered a fair age where a golfer is now at a significant disadvantage? Is there one? Conditioning???

I'm almost positive I'll be better at 50 than I am now.

Muslim extremists.

So...Are there enough "Muslim extremists" to validate pursuing a campaign of war? Extremist, by nature, would seem to imply low quantity..

I'm at a disadvantage to the young guys right now. It's just how it is. If they've got a game, they're more limber and hit it farther.

Until they're all dead. I should say until the ones who want all of us dead are dead.

Craig Stadler, a golfer in his 50's who in no way defines flat-belly, made the cut at the Masters this year.

No doubt physical talent and practice have a lot to do with it, but much of golf is also between the ears.

Players at one of the local colleges practice at my course. I play several rounds with them each year.

Not play against them mind you, but I toddle along.

A resurgence in Afghanistan emboldens them. Getting killed over and over agin in Iraq emboldens them. Us losing allies emboldens them. Fear was used to sell this. Wer aren't buying it anymore.

We would have a good match Old timer. I shot a 77 Friday. It was a Par 71 though.
