I love it and I really enjoy the debate. I do want to note one thing that bothers me:
You just can't say something and make it true. You say it is better now than under Saddam, you offer no proof. I see this alot. You choose to then ignore that you said soemthing. I will say I do not do this. You ask for proof, I offer it. If I am wrong, I admit it. I was wrong about a stat I quoted teh other day, I admitted it. I expect the same when a statement you have made is untrue. I think it gets us nowhere in discussion to not recognize when we are wrong. I think here, and a few other times that has been true.
Nothing that I have ever read suggests that statement is even close to true. It is actually quite ridiculous to say that when an overwhelming majority of Iraqis say the opposite.

How many Iraqis have you spoken to about this?

Polls. 90%. Lets see one that says the opposite. You made the statement. Prove it.

Polls in Iraq?
According to your side Iraq is in complete turmoil. How would a poll even be possible under those circumstances?
I'll take the word of my fallen friend in a letter before he was killed, the word of his parents as to their correspondence, the word of several other soldiers whom the media doesn't talk to.

Then offer something that says the contrary.

I hope you don't take this as an insult to your fallen friend...I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of loved ones...
...but, cordiality and civility is always present when a guy is ensuring it with an M-16 and some stealth bombers at his back....Don't mean the underlying is changing when he walks away...
Although, I'm not making the statement that it is better/worse in Iraq before/after our troops got there...Just making the point that it isn't necessarily better...Of course, I have no desire to go there and find out for myself...so I get everything through the eyes of the media....which I trust about as much as one of those actor contestants on "Am I smarter than a fifth grader"....

So where is your proof about the 200 buses in New Orleans?

I showed it to you. That site (if you read it) listed the total number of buses available in all of New Orleans.

And I pointed out that the number of buses after the flood isn't the same as the number before. And that doesn't count school buses.

I contend that Wal-Mart could have saved the entire city post-katrina....but they didn't. Whores.
