That's how much money this incredibly inappropriate carbon tax legislation will cost. $1.3 trillion. For a bunch of hogwash.
These same reject scientists are calling for Bush's head because of the war's price tag.
Give me a fucking break.
$1.3 trillion. Unbelievable.

What percentage of the overall budget is 1.3 trillion?

I don't give a rat's ass.
The Global War on Global Warming (GWGW) is costing about the same amount of money as the GWOT.
Where is all the outrage? If the GWOT/OIF was a war on false pretenses, what is the GWGW? I'll tell you what - the same exact thing.

My apologies for asking a question. I'll try not to let it happen again.

Do or do not. There is no try.
Is 1.3 trillion just this year or is it over the course of 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 years?
I'm asking because you brought the subject up. I'd like to know about it so I can make my own judgment.

You're the scientist.
I'm leaving work for the day. I'm interested to know this information as well, so I'll dive into it head first on Monday.
FYI...OIF hasn't cost anything resembling a trillion this year.

Yes, I am. Which means I'm not an economist. So how it relates, I'm unsure.
FYI...I'm trying to find out if the carbon shit will cost a trillion. You just said that's how much it's going to cost. You didn't specify if it was this year or this decade. Thus my question.

I believe the context was that was the sum that this legislation would cost the taxpayers. So I assume this is meant to be a total number?
I don't know. But I will find out. And I plan to do a lot of screaming and hollering and pissing and bitching and moaning over it.

I'm sure it is a total number, too. But that still doesn't tell me over what period of time. If it's 5 years, it's a huge cost. If it's 50 years, not so much.
Oh, based on what I've already read thus far, I have already assumed a lot of feet stomping and breath holding.

will the GWGW cost be measured in terms of 'lives lost'? I doubt it.
