Since this doesn't support global warming theory, it must be weather instead of climate.

They're still waiting on data to make a pronouncement about the year 2007 though.
Yeah, that's it.

Global cooling!!!!!
On a serious note its because we have been made aware of what we are doing to the environment, and now that we have changed our ways we have had a positive effect on the environment.

Global warming doesnt exisit
it exisit but it's not our fault
so now republicans and anti-science folk are back to it doesnt exisit?
it was cold outside, therefore, no warming.
it doenst matter then first freeze is coming later and later and first thaw is coming sooner and sooner or anything.

The planet was warming. We had little to nothing to do with it.

So working to put less pollutants in the air is a bad thing?
we should be able to dump what we want into the air?

You're still stuck on the idea that the science is settled and that there is no question remaining just like your buddy algore says. LOL

conservative voters? No
the people they elect into office. Not really, but they'd sooner cater to big business then protect the Enviroment.
Yes yes, nixon did some wonderful things to get us started on right track, republicans have dropped the ball since.
remove the political element from global warming, people who believe in it, just want cleaner air and reduced pollution, it may have no effect on the weather, but I cant imagine it's bad thing. So why spend so much effort in fighting the theory of global warming. We're only asking for less toxins released in the air, and attempt to find a renewable energy source. Fossil fuels, despite what apparently many seem to think, will not last forever.
Why don't you get your lists of scientists out? Better yet, lets see who attanded the recent conference? Would you all like to talk about who is behind the "science" on your side yet again?

The better questions are:
1. Who is supporting financially the anti-climate change movement.
2. Who stands to benefit from the doubt created by those who are denying climate change.

Almost every single climate scientist is lying? Lying?

Catering to big business is a Republican thing? Why are so many execs of Fortune 500 companies donating to Democrats?
Everyone wants cleaner air and reduced pollution. Everyone wants a renewable energy source. But to impose radical changes based on a theory backed up by models that can't predict past weather is ridiculous.

There you go again with the big oil money corrupts every single scientist that isn't in the algore camp. It's a myth. There's plenty of government money going to the alarmist scientists. Plenty of money. But in your book they're the noble ones fighting a battle against evil.

I believe global warming is happening, I do question man's impact on global warming and our ability to slow it down and stop it.
At one time my home state was completely covered in Ice. It's warmed before.
But none the less, there is no argument you can make where I go, yeah, reducing how much pollutant's we put in the air is BAD.

C'mon Ed. Give me a different graph buddy. Show me how it isn't getting warmer.
Remember when we got to the point where it was getting warmer and there wasn't an argument? You guys were just saying it was from the sun. Then that didn't hold up, so it had to be something else because it wasn't CO2. I could hear ya. I was curious. But we have a couple cold months and you come back here. Guys, I am no expert, but this is ridiculous. It is and has clearly been getting warmer. Temperatures fluctuate, absolutely, and some areas are actually predicted to get colder. However, it doesn't mean nothing is happening and nobody iis buying that line of crap.

Not a good period to study. 10 years. It makes for an intersting graph. But just look at the last 30 on the graph I put up. Averages and trends are everything. Can't do that in 10 years Vegas.

I guess it's not a good period to study, because it goes against your predefined idea. We've increased the CO2 in the atmosphere, but the temperature went down.

C'mon Ed. Give me a different graph buddy. Show me how it isn't getting warmer.
Prove to me that this isn't just the earth's normal warming and cooling cycle. Show me some data from before 0 AD that proves that the earth has never been warmer.

No, because it is 10 years. Hard to look at 5 year trends over 10 years. It suits your needs, but I think you know that no scientist would use 10 years Vegas. In fact, I know that you realize that.

That's a ridiculous request. You can't prove to anyone that whatever warming trend is caused by CO2. It's still a theory based on models that can't predict past temperatures.

I think its as I've predicted before, we're holding off the Earth's next ice age. Its trying to cool down and we won't let it.

The last thing I want to do is construe my point to be that I think temperatures are going to drop. My opinion is that the temperature is an independent data point, the only reason I even care is that the price of the goods I purchase will undoubtedly go up because a group of people who "care about the environment" (who coincidently also seem to be fans of Socialist policies) want only the United States to reform.

Please tell me how AMERICAN citizens change policies in China? Or hell, you pick the country.
Ethanol is one reason for the increase, but I thought the war on corn and its deadly syrup has meant that people aren't eating products with corn in them anyway. Costs of your food are going up because the cost to make and transport them is going up.

...and because there's less migrant workers to pick the food.
Seriously. There was an article in the local paper a week or so ago about how crab processors can't find enough migrant workers for seasonal work because shit in Congress is all screwed up and they've taken away a lot of the temporary work visas that are given for migrant workers to come into the states, perform some seasonal work, and then go home. Less workers = less work, and less production. And perhaps paying more to Americans to do the job, IF they end up filling the gap.
