The Labor Department's report, released Friday, also showed that the nation's unemployment rate dipped to 4.8 percent as hundreds of thousands of people -- perhaps discouraged by their prospects -- left the civilian labor force.

Wow, if only they could time all this bad news to coincide with a Presidential election, maybe they could use it to help the Democrats.

Actually, I think the news was spun very much so that this news is marginalized more than it should be.
