Should Google go nuclear?

This is a talk from Dr Brussard about fusion technology. I haven't finished the whole movie(its about 90min). They say the science is solid and I think it would be pretty cool if Google built one and it worked. If you don't like science I would recommend not clicking here.

Pretty good talk he gave, the bowl of rice stuff really makes me mad. Knowing the DOE would throw its weight into this and having the USN cut energy R&D funding when they had made these strides is really dumb. The worst part is the insider look at how the government funded science community can pursue lesser promising options if it means long term project funding over shorter projects, basically keeping them steadily employed for years to come. Dr Brussard should be taking his plea to Paul Allen.
