Social or Economic. Simply, which are more important to you?

Economic. Things like abortion are meaningless to me. I wouldn't ever make someone get one so I don't care if it is legal or illegal. HEalth care is important to me, but I tend to look at that to be as much of an economic issue as it would be social.

Taxes, welfare, (I consider this economic though you could argue it is social), useless spending, etc.

Economics affects you regardless of whether you take interest in it or not.

To an extent, you can avoid social issues. Impossible to run from taxes. Unless you roll hard.

That's like asking which is more important, food or water.

I disagree. There are plenty of people I know who are only interested in one or the other. For instance, I am much more interested in social issues than economic issues.

Water

If you didn't have any food you'd change your opinion.

I've always heard you can last 3 days without water, but 3 weeks without food.

Economics first, unfortunately.

If you can't care for yourself, you can't worry about other people's problems.

Social issues.

What is the reason that the economy is important? Social reasons. At first, I was thinking...hey, economics is more important. But really, the reason economics is important is derivative to the importance of social issues.

Without the necessary social structure, can an economy function? Loaded question, I know. On the very base of it, social issues trump economic ones.
