Contrary to what most believe, if they cut the rates, I expect the Dow to fall a massive amount...Investors with real dough would be petrified more than relieved...

I'd like another 17 jacks, personally. :cool:

BTW, as there should be. Blood in the streets...I'm tellin' ya. Get that gun before the commies get into office and tell you that you can't.

Bah, our stock is already down 50% in the last 75 days. Bring it on baby. I've never worked for a company that has had their stock delisted. Could be a first.

We only lost 3%. Not bad.

Book retailer Borders Group (BGP - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) has been downgraded to sell. The company has been burdened by deteriorating net income, generally weak debt management, disappointing return on equity, poor profit margins and generally disappointing historical performance in the stock itself. Other than that, things are fan-flippin-tastic.

***Good career move Mike*** :rolleyes:

How influential do you think CNBC has become in our markets? To you and me I consider what they say "old news" and if I listen to them I am going to lose my ass after all the fund companies pull out on the gains from my investemnts. After the fact news? Great. Tips? Thanks, but I already bought that 6 months ago. Thanks for letting me know it is time to sell soon though.

CNBS...News is noise. Purely for entertainment

It pisses me off that my buddy is throwing keys on the table on a home he purchased for 250k that he refi'd to 400k over the last 3 years and now can't sell...Meanwhile, a major homebuilder gives him another home for 500k 10 years no interest...He and his wife make a combined 80k. That kind of stuff I tire of reading about and hearing about, so I limit my intake for my own sanity, which is hanging by a thread when thinking about this crap.

I agree that CNBC gives old info. But I absolutely believe that individual investors can get into and out of stocks faster than mutual funds can.

You still into real estate? Shouldn't we be ready to buy half the country in the next few years due to foreclosures and then reap the rewards in the next 5?

I'll be buying lots of property for ten bucks and a swift kick in the nuts shortly. Don't buy until you see the whites of their eyes.

Sure they can, but do you think that CNBC reports fast enough to get those investors that do no research other than listening to "hot stock tips" on CNBC out in time?

Can't wait to take some econ classes in college so I can fully grasp all this stuff. I get the general outline of what's going on, but it'd be really cool to understand the intracacies of it all.

I live in a town that is raided by illegals. Houses are worthless here. My neighbor's home has been on the market since 2006 and his home value has dropped 25% since then. If his home is worth $175K (this is Michigan so homes are worth shit) he has it on the market for $138K right now and no interest whatsoever. This area is going to be dead for a long time anyways. Only reason to move here is if you are an illegal who wants to pick fruit, or if you are retired and want to live in BFE.

It's a great rental area though. With 10 illegals living in one house that has 1 bedroom you can chare them $800 a month and pay $450 a month on your moprtgage. That is if you didn't buy the house for beads.

lol...that is given. I used to love CNBC when I was in college and the market was ridiculous. Buy Yahoo Monday. Watch it rise $180 in 2 days. Sell it. Watch it go down $100 until Friday. Buy it again on Monday. Same with AOL and all the other ones. AOL split so many fucking times then.

I had no idea. The referral money isn't going to me and I don't know where it's going. If I was paying more attention, I would have had him check my dad's ebay store. He sells tons of books on ebay and half. I just tend to find the links faster on amazon.

Odd...maybe that isn't a referral code. I think mine is "serbus1" or some odd shit. When you link to Amazon you can go into your affiliate page and create custom links to products with your affiliate code in it. Only thing is that you can't buy stuff from yourself...lol

Ma= Dispute
Ma= to form a question

Mai= To buy
Mai= To sell
