Comes out on the 17th. I've gotten to read some of it and it doesn't sound a lot like his past stuff. He's become ornery in his old age.

The summary of his new book "Where have all the leaders gone"

Lee Iacocca has had enough. Enough of the "stay the course" advice from a president whom he says has taken America badly off course. Enough of a Congress that has passed tax cuts he feels benefit only the wealthy. In his blisteringly direct way, Iacocca also calls to task business leaders and the media and points to Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Harry Truman as the kind of resolute figures whom he says never would have allowed the country to get into its present economic and military predicaments.

So, what to do? The 82-year-old former Chrysler boss outlines the "9 Cs of Leadership"—including Curiosity, Character, Courage, and Common Sense—that he maintains are a critical test of anyone in power. Iacocca says friends have asked him to calm down, but he asserts that he's "flunked retirement" and that if the current state of affairs doesn't outrage you, then you can't call yourself a patriot

Shit, if being pissed off at a politician made you a patriot, everyone is a patriot.

Another shark-jumper....I think he means if you support our current state of affairs regarding becoming greedy sloths....Of course, he misses one key point...Nowhere in the definition of "patriot" is it stated that you can't be one...

Whatcha gonna do...3000 books are written a week or some sh*t like that and the guy needs a hook....
