I was miserable all weekend, and also today. I stopped and got my paycheck and told them I had to leave to go to the doctor. Swore I had an infection.

Came home, made a drink, and logged on to this site. Read some posts, I think they were liberal ones, and felt something let go. Blew my nose and now I'm fine. I don't like to go to the doctor unless I need to, so I'm not going.

The side of my nose was so sore I couldn't touch it, my left eyebrow felt like it was going to explode, and my left eye felt like it was going to pop out of my head. All better now in like a second.

Are you related to the doctor I had when I was 18? I went in with knee and joint pain and he took blood. I asked why and he said "well some kinds of cancer could cause that", maybe he said leukemia, I don't remember.

That gave me something to think about for a few days until the results came back. Then he told me it was just my body was growing so fast my joints couldn't keep up. I was 6'1 then and still am, and my joints still hurt. I should be 10 feet tall by now.

Surprised he didn't say
Got some bad news
What? <quivering>
Well I was painting the bedroom and spilled paint on the carpet. About your tests, well they weren't good.

What?!!

Well I know your trig teacher, she said you were having trouble. Now about your blood.

I just remembered that this was the same doc who stitched my tongue back together at 2 in the morning. He had sweats on with paint all over him, said he'd been painting the inside of his house when he got the emergency room call.

He said "Don't fight with your mouth open.

If it makes you feel any better...The doc that was treating me on "discovery day" bailed and had another do the dirty work...The new guy asked me if he could do anything, (as I'm in "about to faint...must hold composure for crying wifey at my side" mode) I asked him for something to drink.

He brought me one of those snack pack sized apple juices that has the foil on top...like 2 oz of juice...

If I ever see him again...Blood will be shed. That kind of sh*t is at least worth a full can of pepsi.

My wife developed carpel tunnel syndrome as a secretary in the 80's. You know, pain in the wrists. No one new what it was for sure. One out-of-the-box thinking doctor thought it might be cancer, and sent her out of town for some pricey tests.

Idiot.

The next town we moved to she wrecked on her bike and hurt her back.

She went to a chiro who made her strip naked for "adjustments" then sold her vitamins at about a 1000% mark-up.

I've had two instance of doctors pissing right the heck off. Actually, three.

The first was with my first kidney stone. Was helping my parents move and we were in N. Iowa at the time...ended up in the emergency room and the doc did a CT on me...saw the stone, so that was cool...but he said it looked like I had a growth on my kidney, so he wanted me to have an ultrasound done...set up the appt, had the emotional wife thinking the worst, etc. Went and had it done, they could find nothing. Moron.

Second...my third kidney stone...I call my fam doc and tell him I got blood in my piss but no pain (strangely, this was my largest stone, but had few if any ill effects). He ordered me to a urologist. So the dick doctor wants me to come in and get some dye shot into my veins that will collect in my kidneys and allow for a good contrast image on X-ray. The second part was that he was going to snake a camera up my wang and have a look at my bladder. He said this was the route that's taken in cases of not knowing what the bleeding is from...so I agreed to the test. So I go in and get this stuff shot into my veins...I'm on the Xray table for about an hour having all the various pictures taken. Then I have my dick snaking appt immediately afterwards. I'm dreading it, naturally. So I go up and the first thing the have to do is shoot some anesthetic gel into the urethra. That wasn't great, but not as bad as it sounds. As I'm waiting for the gel to anesthetize, the doc comes in and says "yeah, we can see the stone on the xrays...it's a couple millimeters". I'm thinking...well, OK, you know what's causing the bleeding, right? Case closed. Wrong. He grabs the camera thingy...it's like this narrow wire thing with basically 2 parts...one part a light, the second a camera. He gets that bastard all lubed up and in it went. At first, it was tolerable, then it struck the right spot and evertything clenched up. Then it hurt...like a mother...He gets done and says, "yeah, you bladder looks great." Thanks asshole. It hurt when I peed for a day.

The third time was also a result of my third stone. The urologist thought I should visit a nephrologist to see if I could get control of my stones. So I go to the nephrologist and he says he wants me to do a 24 hour urine collection. OK, fine. Piss in a jug for a day and take it in...meet back up with him a couple weeks later and he says the phophates in my urine are high. One of the potential causes of this could be a thyroid condition...specifically overproduction off a hormone (can't think of what the hormone was called now...). Of course, overproduction of the thyroid could mean two things...hyperthyroidism where the thing just grows larger than it should...the second option was a tumor on my thyroid. Great. Wife loved that news...again. So I had to do more urine and blood tests. Doc called a week later and said it was nothing...no problems. I was supposed to schedule an appointment to meet with him again in April. I've yet to schedule that appointment.

Yeah, I'd have 2. But that's too many, considering neither had a vagina. And I'm pretty sure one of those also wasn't interested in vagina.

No. Just checked the bladder. The asst (the guy that injected the anesthetic jelly) didn't seem like he was interested in vagina...in a completely non-medical sense.
