Anyone been watching this series on History Channel? It's on Tuesday nights at 8 or 9 central. Good shit. They've gone over stuff about the sun, jupiter, mars, the moon, and Earth. I may be forgetting one, not sure. Anyway, interesting stuff in regards to how they think everything was formed.

God made it all. What else do you need to know?

Other than the Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry
for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of Heaven
and the pains of Hell,
but most of all because they
offend Thee, my God,
Who art all-good and deserving
of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help
of Thy grace to confess my sins,
to do penance
and to amend my life. Amen.

More than one viewpoint, to begin with.

Because it's always entertaining to read fiction.

That's why I'm currently reading The Bible.

I've been watching when I am able to catch it. It is interesting at times, other times they bog down a bit to fill that hour. I think I prefer the NOVA style for these kinds of things to the History Channel style. But it is generally good. More cool pictures would make it better for me.

Are they going to have stuff about other parts of the galaxy? I'd like to see what we know (so far) is out there (which, I realize, we don't know much).

So far, it's just been our solar system, not sure what the future shows will show

This week was good. The life and death of a star. Supernovas and all that. I'm waiting to see if they have one on black holes. I assume they will.

They do some pretty sweet computer generated graphics. A guy will be talking about something and they will show with his hand movements the way it would work with a computer generated plaet, or star. I think they use pretty good examples to explain things on it. HAve a dude put on a hard hat and show him standing in front of guys molding iron to talk about the parts of stars as they explode shooting out into the universe and landing whereever.

I have seen more episodes lately and I have to retract my previous statement. The graphics are great. The whole show is top notch. A winner for the History Channel. I love all of the interviews with the scientist, they are SO excited that someone actually cares about what they do; it's fun to watch. Also, there was cutey in the mix, I didn't catch her name but she didn't like any physics students I ever met. Now if they would stop doing the bunk history like all of the shows on Nostradamus we'll be all set.
