Are you talking about that show about the secret underground stuff? If so, that's what got me to thinking about this group.

My grandpa was a Freemason and during his funeral viewing they (the Freemasons) did some ceremony for him. I was a bit upset that it was as cryptic and creepy as I thought it would be.

I will say though that it definitely seems a bit strange that they are such a secretive group. Maybe I should take my uncle up on that offer to join.

Five bucks says that within one week of joining you will feel compelled to buy a fancy named apartment with creative financing.

I know several masons and my grandfather was a mason. I also know a few people who believe in the big masonic conspiracy theory. If the masons were so set on taking over the world, they should have given up a few hundred years ago.

The Shriner's burn centers and other charitable acts are hardly what one would expect of a bunch of devil worshiping power-hungry guys.

I had an employee for close to 10 years that was Mason and proudly wore his ring. At the time, he was probably 60 years of age. He was an outstanding citizen and God fearing man. Active in his Baptist church and always willing to lend a helping hand.

My grandfather was a Shriner. Wore his big red hat, played his trombone while marching in parades in downtown Atlanta. My dad never told me about any devils his father associated with.

I heard an interesting discussion a few months ago between a conspiracy guy and an actual mason. The conspiracy guy was talking about how once one gets to be a 33rd degree mason that they are actively worshiping the devil. The mason laughed and explained patiently that there is no such thing as a 33rd degree mason. I laughed hard.

Yes. Krazy Klowns.

I saw a masonic funeral rite once and it just occurred to me a few months ago what they were doing. Carrying imaginary bricks and mortar, and laying them. That's what it looked like to me.

Directly from wiki

As previously stated, there is no degree of Craft Freemasonry higher than that of Master Mason.[17] Although some Masonic bodies and orders have further degrees named with higher numbers, these degrees may be considered to be supplements to the Master Mason degree rather than promotions from it.[18] An example is the Scottish Rite, conferring degrees numbered from 4° up to 33°.[29] It is essential to be a Master Mason in order to qualify for these further degrees. They are administered on a parallel system to Craft or Blue Lodge Freemasonry; within each organisation there is a system of offices, which confer rank within that degree or order alone.

So is it funny that the mason was wrong or that most masons don't even know what they belong too? Now the "conspiracy" guy might have mispoke when he meant to say Master Mason with 33 degree of Scottish Rites. However it does exist.

Masons are the great architects. Whether you believe in them or not they do influence society. I won't agree with any devil worshipping comments but I will say that secret societies are hiding things.

Freemasons jailed in Fiji over sorcery claims: report

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.304c9d84cd577cc6a8cb702a45577ec a.121&show_article=1&catnum=9

A New Zealand man spent a "wretched" night in a Fiji jail after police raided his Freemasons meeting when frightened residents suspected witchcraft, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The man, who did not wish to be identified, blamed "dopey village people" for the raid on the island of Denerau in which 14 members of the Freemasons Lodge of Lautoka were herded into police cars and jailed for the night.

Police also seized lodge paraphernalia, including wands, compasses and a skull.

The man told the Herald that Tuesday night's meeting was "interrupted by a banging on the door and there were these village people and the police demanding to be let in".

Bill Clinton was intially raised as a Mason.
A Jew can be a Freemason. Current NY Senator, Chuck Schumer is a Freemason....for example, and he is Jewish. Kweisi Mfune is also a Freemason and a Muslim.

Freemasons merely have to proclaim they believe in a Supreme Being. They do not have to expand on that belief.

George Washington was a Mason.

Bill Clinton was intially raised as a Mason.

As was Booker T. Washington.

Chief Justice Earl Warren

Charlie Rangel is a Mason

Both, Theodore and Franklin D. Roosevelt were Masons.

As was General Douglas MacArthur and General George Marshall.

So was Thurgood Marshall.

As was the great fighter, Sugar Ray Robinson

The list of Freemasons goes on and on and is very diverse.
