I agree. I have really enjoyed the discussion so far. I am not sure you enjoy my ramblings, but at least we can always go back to SB and talk Cards baseball and how the Cubs blow.

yes, I spend much more time here than sports-boards.
I think I can justify wasting time talking about current events and such and expanding my horizons politically, socially, and scientifically rather than expanding my horizons talking about tits, shit, and football. At least while I'm at work.

Just have to keep the wife convinced that it's better to save a bit and end up with something nicer than to just jump right on in when the water's still a bit cool...that's the biggest hurdle.

Shit, I'll be halfway to retirement before I have 50k saved up. I'm just hoping to hit 5 figures.

Yeah, but you didn't piss away 7 years of your life living with the old man to save it.....That took its toll....His attitude is much like ryr's (with the exception of unions and God...ok He's pretty much nothing like ryr)....I think I had a point at the beginning of this...
Ah well.
My advice? Have as many children as possible...If one strikes it rich, that's as good as an annuity.

My fallback plan still involves moving in with the folks. The live in AR, and there are at least 3 labs I could potentially work at in AR, so I think it all fits together nicely. Move home for another 8-10 years, save up, then move out again.
